The Long Lost Update

I have been meaning to update but life has been pretty busy. Phil was here last Thursday thru til Tuesday morning. Jared got here on Friday and left on Monday morning. We went to Suwanna on Thursday night and it was magnificent! I had my regular, but we tried a combo plate of appetizers first which was delish! Friday was a little more laid back because of the weather and Saturday was the party.
Saturday we all met up for Brekkie at Cora’s then ran some errands. I went to get my hair cut late in the afternoon and it is all gone! We partied til sometime after 3am on Saturday night and a good time was had by all. Rock Band was played, much alcohol consumed and lots of edibles made by Chris W and great Guacamole by Patrick.
Sunday was spent in a laid back fashion with a bit of video game action, a nice stir fry made by Phil topped off with my Bday cake (which I had been waiting for all weekend) Skor Blizzard Cake…. num num num. Then Greg, Chris and Jared stopped over and we played some more Rock Band and were social before Jared and Phil both had to head home. It was nice.
I took Monday off as Phil was still in town. We spend the afternoon wandering around uptown and followed it up with Pizza and many many hours of Assassins Creed. Over all it was a wonderful weekend.
Now I am plagued with a crappy cold which I am trying to fight. I loaded up on veggies tonight with a kick ass green stir fry to keep up the immune system. Wish me luck! The rest of the week is shaping up to be interesting. I am going to see Cloverfield tomorrow night with Chas, weather permitting. (one of my Bday gifts) I will be reading Pride and Prejudice which I picked up with the GC from Christian and Jill and I think I am going to spend Friday evening with some friends. I also have a coffee date somewhere in there yet to be decided with a new guy…. let’s see what happens.
With that I am keeping my eyes on the job bank as well as researching school. I have 9 weeks left with Rev Can before they decide if I get to stay or not. I want to be prepared either way so I’m strongly thinking of my Welding Career should this not pan out. Not getting any younger and it’s something I’ve wanted to do. So we’ll see what fate has in store.
On that note, I’m off to curl up with a mug of Neo Citran and David Boreanaz, then maybe some Mr Darcy we’ll see.
Seeing stars….

BusyBusyBusy..
I do not envy you.
For that cold - check out Kim’s in the market, the Korean takeout? Get a jar of “Citron Tea” its citrus fruits fermented in cane sugar and its filled with goodness, it saved me from my chest infection a few weeks ago. $10 a jar, it lasts for a long time and its amazing. 1-2 tbsp in a cup of boiled water - mmmmm…. IIt tastes like a marmalade dream.
