It went by too fast. But I guess Tuesday makes it a semi long weekend now doesn’t it?
Friday night I joined G at his place for Caribbean Chicken. Oh my gosh it was delicious! Then we picked up Mel, and Chris W from work and headed to Akhord for Improvisation Corporation’s summer Improv. I must say I was quite entertained. I indulged in a delightful Whiskey Sour and laughed my ass off. Kudo’s to Scott and the gang for putting on a great show!
Saturday morning I was up and at’em early. Went to the early WW meeting. I am down again this week. Wheeee… now if I can keep in this pattern I’ll be a happy girl. After that I headed to Cora’s with G for some breakfast then off to Old Navy for gifties for the Jack & Jill party last eve.
Again pleasantly surprised to meet some very nice people at Pat and Anita’s party. Lots of interesting conversation and in fact lots of laughter. Very nice to meet some new folks and spend some time with friends I don’t see often enough.
Sunday (today) was spent watching some more of The Office I downloaded. Went to Kredel’s with Chris and Hil and stopped in to visit with them for a bit after we got back from Hampton. Honestly I just wasn’t in a mood to be around people so I opted to come home and spend some time with the cat in an empty house. It was nice. I got a copy of The Prestige and am going to sit down to watch it after I post this entry.
The week ahead will be busy with Canada Day on Tuesday, I’m going to check out the Flea Market, then come home and host a BBQ for some friends. Then on the weekend I am going up country for the weekend camping. I can’t wait! The following weekend, July 12th will be the Yard Sale. I have alot of labelling and sorting to do before then. I hope to get a large chunk of that done this week.
That’s about it for excitement from my corner of the world. I promise it will be more exciting soon…. Promise..

Sunday we went to Moncton to visit Mike and Cole. It was a nice visit. We went for a picnic at the Exhibition Grounds. Nicole made us a wonderful lunch and it was a beautiful day for it.
Monday I wrote my SLE (Second Language Evaluation) for the Government. I have no idea how I did on the test so we’ll see when the results come in. I can only cross my fingers and hope for the best. It was very stressful, I was very stressed out about it, but was also very happy when it was over. I spent the evening shopping with Gerry. He got some new stuff from Sports Check. I priced a few things I want.
Tuesday night I came in to the city to spend some time at Geek night with peeps. There weren’t many there. Starting to wonder if it is dying out or it’s just summer. Either way, it was still nice to see Tara, Hil, Andrew, Barry and Pete.
Yesterday I got groceries and cooked a wonderful supper even though I felt quite miserable. Most of my day was spent doing a few things for the yard sale and laying low. I did get out in the sun for awhile but it was just too bloody hot to stay out for too long.
Now to Today. I was supposed to take Gerry to his drivers test this morning, however he thought it was today when it was actually Tuesday…Get that boy a calendar. So my plans for today are shot, since there was no drivers test to be taken Gerry made other plans. I was a little more than disappointed but sometimes men really don’t have a clue so sometimes we need to forgive them for their lack of thoughtfulness.
Tomorrow night I’m catching Improv with G, and Saturday evening I have a Jack & Jill party to attend. Shaping up to be busy. However there are absolutely no plans for Canada Day… go figure. Sort of disappointed, but I’m sure I can come up with something.
That’s all from my corner of the world.

It’s Thursday!
I had to drive my cousin’s girlfriend to work this morning for 7am, so after I dropped her off at the Hospital I went to Rockwood Park for a run. It was enjoyable. I am starting to get my running time up, so that makes me feel good. It was peaceful and there was lost of wildlife to be seen. Including a peculiar creep in a green Seabring. Anyway, it was mildly creepy but I kept on going, just staying clear of secluded paths. I felt refreshed and clear headed afterwards. The only thing that was mildly annoying was getting home full of energy and everyone was still asleep! So I crept into my room turned on some tunes and started reading.
Once everyone was up I got up and at’em. Really put a dent in the stuff for the Yard Sale today. I have alot of stuff to get rid of. I also have a bag of miscellaneous fabric for Hillybean. I’m sure she’ll be happy to have some more odds and ends to add to her lot. This afternoon I think I am going to take down the tent out back, see where the other ones are, and maybe see about selling one of the two 4 man tents I have in the yard sale. There are a few other odds and ends I have to take care of as well.
Before I went downstairs and started slaving today I had the urge to download everything Bon Jovi has ever done. It’s now on my iTunes for enjoyment. Ironically once I started listening to Bon Jovi it reminded me of other music I had back then, so I downloaded some others… my music collection was odd…
Either way I’m enjoying the tunes. It’s blocking out the noise from the paving next door today.
On that note, go enjoy the sunshine!

p.s. I’d love to know who actually reads my site, so when you stop by send me a hello.
I got a phone call to go rollerblading last night. I had a good time, but did discover how much my rollerblades suck. I’ll be buying myself a new pair as soon as I can afford it. Which hopefully will be sooner and not later.
I’m really tired today. Had alot of nightmares last night. Can’t seem to get passed them. I hate that feeling. Doesn’t help that it’s rainy today so it just makes me want to crawl in bed all day.
We were supposed to go to Sackville tonight however the headliner whom Chris was taking photos of is no longer on the tour… which is gonna suck considering he’s the Main event… so I’m not sure how they are going to spin that for the second half of the tour.
Having a strange week. My head is full of randomness. Need to get it all sorted out.

Sing it for me Pat Benatar!
We are young, heartache to heartache we stand
No promises, no demands
Love is a battlefield
We are strong, no one can tell us were wrong
Searchin our hearts for so long, both of us knowing
Love is a battlefield
You’re beggin me to go, youre makin me stay
Why do you hurt me so bad?
It would help me to know
Do I stand in your way, or am I the best thing you’ve had?
Believe me, believe me, I cant tell you why
But I’m trapped by your love, and I’m chained to your side
We are young, heartache to heartache we stand
No promises, no demands
Love is a battlefield
We are strong, no one can tell us were wrong
Searchin our hearts for so long, both of us knowing
Love is a battlefield
Were losing control
Will you turn me away or touch me deep inside?
And before this gets old, will it still feel the same?
There’s no way this will die
But if we get much closer, I could lose control
And if your heart surrenders, you’ll need me to hold
We are young, heartache to heartache we stand
No promises, no demands
Love is a battlefield
We are strong, no one can tell us were wrong
Searchin our hearts for so long, both of us knowing
Love is a battlefield
We are young, heartache to heartache we stand
No promises, no demands
Love is a battlefield
We are strong, no one can tell us were wrong
Searchin our hearts for so long, both of us knowing
Love is a battlefield
God bless Kid Rock… he has blessed us with yet another catchy tune!! The track is titled All Summer Long. I highly recommend adding it to your summer play list.
So I am beyond exhausted. I have been up for exactly 20 hours. I have a million and one things on my brain. I spent the evening at Chris’s playing Rockband, then went over to visit Mel for awhile. I just got home not too long ago. Witnessed an accident on the way home, some drunken punk went off the off ramp and flipped his car. *shakes head* When will people learn not to drink and drive.
Went to WW this morning. I was up exactly one pound. Not the end of the world. I consumed a ton of water yesterday, so I sort of expected it.
Today was Nan’s Tea, and it was delightful! It was really nice to see family we don’t see often, hear a few stories and such. I took some pics. I am going to post an album. Again much thanks to Chris for the lending of the SUPER Canon!
I will post a family album in the next few days. In the mean time, here are two of my more artsy shots that really have nothing to do with the family.
*If you look closely at the second picture, you can see my Nan on the other side of the glass.

I ended up going to Florenceville last night with Chris. He was asked to go up there to take more pictures of Grand Prix Wrestling and me being the best friend that I am said I would go. The trip was exceptionally shorter than trips of old in that direction. I remember 4 hour car rides to Presque Isle, which is right across from Florenceville. This trip was two and a half hours.
I must say, the town is very picturesque, however Chris didn’t want to waste any shots on anything outside of the event. He did have room on his memory card after, so he had fun with the camera on the way home, with lights and motion. Some very interesting shots.
Needless to say I was super tired when I got home. I had an interview yesterday before we left, then all that driving. Ack. However the event itself was entertaining. Made me really miss my Grampy, as he always used to take me to those events when I was little…in an odd sense I felt like he was there with me most of the night. Perhaps that is where my funk came from? Oh yes… I’m totally in a funk, out of left field today. I just now realized maybe that is part of it…
But on to happier things. Today is Nan’s 70th Birthday. Saturday I am hosting a tea for her. Her brothers and sisters are coming, as well as other family. I think it is going to be a nice time. I am hoping to score some nice pics of her with her siblings. *cough cough* so we’ll see if that happens.
Friday will be spent baking. Saturday morning off to Weight Watchers, then more prep work for the tea. This hasn’t been an exceptional food choice week, however I have remained within points. I have managed to NOT get on the scale everyday which makes me feel like I’m gaining… But I’ll take it as it comes.
Food choices were limited this week due to finances. Hoping next week is a bit better in the way of fresh veggies etc.
That’s all from my corner of the world for now,

Update 9:58pm: New Theme. Still working out the kinks. Hang in there.
So summer has finally arrived! It was 32 degrees in the Ken Val today… INSANE! However it was nice, and welcomed. Ask me that nearing the end of August. This weekend was quite awesome. Friday night we went to a Longhorns Seawolves football game over in Milledgeville. It was pretty chilly, but we stuck around til the 3rd quarter. Then we headed our separate ways. Saturday morning I went to WW where both Juls and I had successful weeks. I am pleased to report I lost 3.6 pounds after my first week back at meetings. I was very proud of Juls as well for her awesome week 1 loss!
The remainder of the day was spent running some errands with Gerry in the morning, then Sex in the City with Anita in the afternoon. Well I must say, it wasn’t on the top of my must see list, but I did want to see it. It was a great chick flick. I enjoyed all the jokes, all the little touching moments. Yeah I too can be a girly girl. Thanks again to Anita for taking me out for a belated Bday movie! It was so worth it.
Saturday evening we went bowling, where I bowled a 91 for two of the three strings which again I thought was pretty darn cool. Then we went back to Chris and Dale’s place and indulged in some much needed drinks, rockband and laughter. Well.. needless to say it’s the best time I’ve had in awhile. I think even if the night didn’t end the best for Barry… I think he had an awesome time too!
Sunday was spent recovering after a greasy omelette from Reggie’s. But nothing else was gonna take the drinking rumbles out of my tummy!
That brings us to Monday.. which low and behold is today. Spent some time geeking out with friends this morning, and this evening I made up the last of the cookie dough I had made last Thursday. Going to put the cookies aside for the tea this weekend. Nanny is going to be 70 on Thursday. We are having a tea for her on Saturday afternoon. I need to be super tight with the eating this week so that on Saturday AFTER weigh in I can indulge a bit. I won’t lie, I cannot resist her Chocolate Cake with Boiled icing… which she is making for her own party mind you… but I still want a piece. *evil grin*
So onward to the crazy week of baking, inhaling the sweet smell of goodies, and eating fruit, carrot sticks or drinking water to fend of the sweet munchies.
Oh and as a note, I saw Shelly and Margaret on Saturday at Cora’s when I was there with Gerry. They both look fabulous. Keep up the good work ladies!

p.s. You are require to pay full price for half orders at Cora’s.
It’s a Friday afternoon. Just prepping for supper. I am Barbecuing some chicken for me and steak for Mom and Nan. I also made potato salad with Fat Free Dressing!!! I am very excited, since it feels like forever since I had potato salad.
Dale and Juls came out last night and took me for a drive and we walked down at Meehan’s Cove beach. It was quite warm and it was a nice evening. I appreciate the visit. I was going a little shack wacky at that point.
Spent a chunk of my late night chatting with an far away friend, whom I miss dearly. However I like how we can not speak for awhile and hop right back in step upon talking for a few moments. One of life’s simple pleasures.
I’m really looking forward to bowling tomorrow night, rumour has it we will be having some drinks as well. Bring on mild inebriation!
I’m also looking forward to weigh in tomorrow. Glee. It’s nice to be back on track.
There are a few personal matters that are causing me some stress, however I’ve had lots of time to myself the last few days and I think I have gained some clarity. I have to live my life for me, my happiness and sometimes you just have to stand up for what you believe in no matter what the cost. I think I’m ready to do that. It’s about damn time…
However on that positive note, I’m going to go heat up the BBQ shortly and get ready for some eats!!
