It is ridiculously early. I went to bed early which in turn caused me to wake up at 5:20, wide awake. So I took the time to just do some reading and such. Going to pry myself out of bed shortly.

Going to WW this morning to weigh in on my way to work. Figure it’s the best time with how crazy the weekend is going to be. We are going to the Midnight showing of Army of Darkness tonight. Meeting up at Boston Pizza at 10pm with everyone for some eats. (Not sure if I’ll be eating anything but I’ll be there)

Tomorrow night is the Bday Bash. Have to pick up eats to make. May do that tonight after work. Not too sure yet. I know I am making bacon wrapped Jalapenos, I’m not sure what else yet… I have a list.

This week has been interesting. Earlier in the week Tara and Steve asked me to be in their wedding! So I am going to be a bridesmaid in October. Should be fun. On Thursday morning I was driving to work, and for the first time in 15 years of driving I had the scare of my life. The roads were terrible, and what happened could have been alot worse, but likely not avoided. I skidded down Chesley Drive, and spun  into 360’s before finally stopping facing up the hill, and a SUV going through the same thing I just had. I had to reverse down the hill so he wouldn’t crash into me, and then I just turned around and got on the bridge… It rattled me good. But like Barry said, after a few days I can laugh about it, and call it an adventure… I’m not there yet, so give me a few days. It was effing scary!

I have half a blog post written on turning 31 (29 with two years experience). I will finish it up on my birthday and post it…

Bring on the weekend!

The things that cross your mind sometimes. Mostly it is how much life has changed in 4 years…So much is different, some stuff remains the same. I guess with my B-day coming up I was just evaluating all of that.

I had a dream last night that everyone forgot my Bday. It was strange though because I got REALLY mad about it. Mostly at my Mom though. Because in the dream I had to drive to Halifax to visit her and while I was there she didn’t say anything and the whole point in my dream was this trip to Hali to visit Mom for my birthday. Sometimes dreams are so silly.

Work has been insane this week. What amuses me though is each morning I come in, I usually have 6 to 10 emails from my boss, that he does at night from home. All asking about emails we both received that I have already replied to for us, and cc’d him in on. Thing is he replies as he goes so EVERY morning he asks me these questions in email, and he has the answers just a few messages up. It always makes me laugh. I don’t find it as tedious as I find it funny that it keeps happening. Sorry, I had to share that tidbit.

I went over to Steve and Tara’s last night and watched Dark Rising…. OMG.. I don’t want my 92 minutes back, it was worth the laughter. Supper was excellent too. My fav! But I think the highlight was being asked to be a part of their special day. I know I already was as I am making the Wedding Cupity Cakes, but now I’m a bridesmaid too! *jumps up and down* I’m very honoured and excited.

Afterwards I went to Bean’s place to try on dresses. I think the white one won out. Looks awesome on and should only look even more awesome by the time we go to Toronto. I figure I’ll have between 10 and 15 pounds off by then. That will just make it look a bit better in all the right places. So now I have to find jewels and shoes. I have some ideas for earrings, not yet for necklaces. I’ll likely wear my white ballet slippers I had for the wedding years ago. I think they are still around here somewhere.

Wow I rambled on longer than I thought I would. I have to get out of bed and get ready for work!

Lost is on tonight, can’t wait!

The week was a bit chaotic. Work was crazy. A big project started, and on Wednesday afternoon, we were confident it would go off without a hitch. Everything was in order. That night when they started anything that could have went wrong did, and trickled out to Friday. I think most things have been corrected for now as best they can be, and we carry on.
I felt a bit overwhelmed at work mid-week, but I survived. Just took my time getting through what was on my desk and in doing so got more done than I thought I would.

My first full week back at WW was fantastic. I watched my hunger and used filling foods and tracked everything. In the end I was down 1.6 pounds! I’m pleased because I didn’t have the chance to get as much exercise in as I would have liked, and it is that ungodly week of the month. So typically I wouldn’t even lose this weeks when I was going before. This should make for a really interesting turn out next week on the scale.

That being said, I am going to weigh in on Thursday night or Friday morning as we are crazy busy next weekend and after being out til 2:30 on Friday night, and my birthday party being Saturday night I don’t want to be out for a meeting at 9am on Saturday morning.

Everything is booked for our trip in March. I’m getting very excited. It has been far too long since the trio has left the province for some fun. This trip we have a companion with us. One that won’t be a drama queen and ruin our trip! Good old Slavesheep will be coming and I’ll be honest I think he is going to make the train ride an adventure. Where he is fun and laughter usually follow.

I am on a quest today to find some new music. With that I’ll also post a new pic of me that was taken my Chris. We were testing lighting, this one is blown out too much, but I just love it anyway!

It isn’t really a snow day. I’m working, just in comfy fuzzy clothes at my kitchen table. I’m thankful that my job is flexible like that and wouldn’t frown upon me deciding not to risk my life and car to get to the west side to work. I have the ability to do everything at home I can in the office due to my lovely remote connection. *happy sigh* The bonus is, I am doubly productive because I don’t have a phone ringing beside me! lol

I am hoping it clears up though later in the day because I wanted to get some zucchini and cabbage to try this WW Garden Veggie soup. I’m eager to see how filling it is.

So I promised myself I wouldn’t look at the scale at all this week while I eat right and follow plan. My only promise to myself was to track everything and try my best to avoid empty foods. So far so good. I found yesterday because of the filling foods I ate, I had 7 points left at 8pm. So I made a small bowl of cream of wheat as a snack, it was hot and satisfying.

I read some happy fabulous news about Indi! Congrats hon! So excited and happy for you! I am on the countdown until the trip, I can’t wait. Tickets are booked, hotel is booked. It will be nice to get away for the first time in a few years. It will be even better to see some loved and missed faces!

On that note I am going to get to work.
Enjoy your Monday everyone!

It’s Friday!!! Thankfully!
Though this week did go by fast for me having had the plague all week. I’m feeling better today. I just have a bit of a cough so I’ll survive.

A friend from work let me borrow Mamma Mia last night, since everyone was watching it I figured I’d see what the chatter was all about. It was pretty decent. So decent in fact I went and downloaded the entire soundtrack and put it on my iPod! So today at work just imagine me dancing around to SOS and Dancing Queen while doing orders. Oh it’s going to be grand!

Or maybe I’m just losing my mind!!! Which would be fun too.

Since taking on new responsibilities at work, I have been very busy, but my days have gone by relatively fast.

I have this urge to start knitting…but I don’t have the first clue on how to learn how to knit the things I want. I think it’s time to do some research and make a trip to good old Michael’s. Please hold back the hold lady jokes… I want to knit cool things. :P

Think I am going to skip town next weekend weather permitting. More details to follow. :P

Time to get to work, and day dream of the LAN party tomorrow! Yay a full day of geekness!

Well it is now 2009. Lots happened in 2008. Most of it is a blur in a way. We started the year off on Orange St, playing Rockband and drinking. It was a nice New Years, we went out to February, where Greg and I celebrated our Birthdays and Robert Henderson was born. I also said goodbye to someone very important to me in February. Live is strange without them, but in the end maybe it was for the best. What a way to start off the year! I worked with Rev Can until April when my contract ended and then after alot of deliberation I decided to move. It hasn’t been without it’s problems that is for certain, but overall was a good choice at the time. Now I just can’t wait to move again, however I’m saving for some new furniture first. Shouldn’t take too long at all.

So after moving I started the job hunt, and found a pretty amazing job which I love. It comes with it’s stresses, but it is really great being on the ground floor of a growing company, even if financial times are a bit sketchy right now, I think we will survive. We celebrated Jenn and Anthony’s big day with them towards the end of the summer, and I think a great time was had by all. Fall was here before we knew it, and man how the year had flown by. It was finally time to go see the Bruins in Moncton! No Tim Thomas, but it was good just the same. Halloween we celebrated with a Murder Mystery party, and had some old friends from Fredericton join us, as well as Jared and Vicki. The costumes were great, as was the company. Then on the actual night of Halloween we took the kids (Marilyn and Robert) trick or treating. I think it is going to be even more fun next year. Then before we knew it… Christmas, and New Years. Both flew by. I found out that one of my closer friends is my cousin! That was a real holiday treat. I’ll admit I was pretty jazzed to find out I am ousins with Tara and my favourite little man!
I’ve had better New Years celebrations, but it was nice to be with friends. Which brings me up to today, where I of course am reflecting. 75 sleeps until Toronto! I have 75 days to lose a pant size. Personal goal I set for myself. I think I can do it!

I’m back on the weight loss train, I didn’t gain since I’ve stopped which makes me happy, but now it’s time to find that thinner me that’s been slumbering for awhile. It’s time to make some choices no matter how difficult. It’s time to get living, laughing and loving.

Here I come 2009. The year of many changes.
