Sunday we went to Moncton to visit Mike and Cole. It was a nice visit. We went for a picnic at the Exhibition Grounds. Nicole made us a wonderful lunch and it was a beautiful day for it.

Monday I wrote my SLE (Second Language Evaluation) for the Government. I have no idea how I did on the test so we’ll see when the results come in. I can only cross my fingers and hope for the best. It was very stressful, I was very stressed out about it, but was also very happy when it was over. I spent the evening shopping with Gerry. He got some new stuff from Sports Check. I priced a few things I want.

Tuesday night I came in to the city to spend some time at Geek night with peeps. There weren’t many there. Starting to wonder if it is dying out or it’s just summer. Either way, it was still nice to see Tara, Hil, Andrew, Barry and Pete.

Yesterday I got groceries and cooked a wonderful supper even though I felt quite miserable. Most of my day was spent doing a few things for the yard sale and laying low. I did get out in the sun for awhile but it was just too bloody hot to stay out for too long.

Now to Today. I was supposed to take Gerry to his drivers test this morning, however he thought it was today when it was actually Tuesday…Get that boy a calendar. So my plans for today are shot, since there was no drivers test to be taken Gerry made other plans. I was a little more than disappointed but sometimes men really don’t have a clue so sometimes we need to forgive them for their lack of thoughtfulness.

Tomorrow night I’m catching Improv with G, and Saturday evening I have a Jack & Jill party to attend. Shaping up to be busy. However there are absolutely no plans for Canada Day… go figure. Sort of disappointed, but I’m sure I can come up with something.

That’s all from my corner of the world.

God bless Kid Rock… he has blessed us with yet another catchy tune!! The track is titled All Summer Long. I highly recommend adding it to your summer play list.

So I am beyond exhausted. I have been up for exactly 20 hours. I have a million and one things on my brain. I spent the evening at Chris’s playing Rockband, then went over to visit Mel for awhile. I just got home not too long ago. Witnessed an accident on the way home, some drunken punk went off the off ramp and flipped his car. *shakes head* When will people learn not to drink and drive.

Went to WW this morning. I was up exactly one pound. Not the end of the world. I consumed a ton of water yesterday, so I sort of expected it.

Today was Nan’s Tea, and it was delightful! It was really nice to see family we don’t see often, hear a few stories and such. I took some pics. I am going to post an album. Again much thanks to Chris for the lending of the SUPER Canon!

I will post a family album in the next few days. In the mean time, here are two of my more artsy shots that really have nothing to do with the family.

*If you look closely at the second picture, you can see my Nan on the other side of the glass.

After 7-8 weeks absence from Weight Watchers I went back this week. Finally in a place where I can reasonably afford to go. I wasn’t off plan, however I wasn’t super strict either. I did gain 2 pounds since my last weigh in during the end of March. However I think that’s pretty good considering how much fast food and sweets I did sample during those 8 weeks.

So I must say it was very nice to be back!!! Just the bit of focus I needed. This won’t become a trend as I track on The Daily Plate.com however this is what I have eaten today, and I have a few points left for a snack tonight.

2 Eggs Poached

2 Slices of Whole Wheat Toast

3 Slice of Bacon

8oz Strawberry Banana Smoothie w/ Yogurt

1/4C of Homemade Guacamole with a 100 Cal pack of Ritz Crackers

1 4oz Chicken Breast with Onions, Peppers and Garlic, cooked in 2 tsp of Fat Free Italian Dressing

3/4 C of Smart Pasta, Pasta salad with Fat Free Ranch Dressing, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Basil.

I have also had 4 glasses of water!

Now typically on the weekends I do allot more points for brekkie cause it’s sort of a treat. On a week day, I have cereal with skim milk and a piece of fruit or a piece of fruit and a yogurt. However I must say I am pleased with my first day back with tracker in hand. Already looking forward to the cooking for the upcoming week!

Now enough of the WW stuff. Picking Mel up at the airport tonight at 1245 am.. yes AM. She is back from Az. Going to attempt to bring her back to my house til morning. Not too keen on the long ride back home at 130 in the morning. Job hunt continues… which I am starting to wonder to be honest… maybe I really should look at going back to school….

Think I might go to the EI office this week and see what they have to say. :)

On that note, I am going to see if there is actually anything going on tonight with the masses other than watching the Hockey Game.

It’s a nice afternoon on the Sunday of Victoria Day weekend. I am debating catching some sun on the back deck. I’m also debating getting Harry a little kitty harness so he can lay out with me. I think he’d really enjoy loafing in the sun.

Waiting to hear back from a few folks to see what is going on this evening. Was hopeful to BBQ somewhere that ISN’T home. So we’ll see how that shapes up. I’m really in an odd mood today where I really want some me time, but at the same time it’s a long weekend and I should get out and be social so this doesn’t turn into a funk.

Weight loss is still going well. I’m pleased with my progress.

Job hunt continues. I should hear back from two of them this week.

Harry is begging me to find him a new home… he really can’t seem to warm up to the puppy… but I’m going to give it a few more tries. I can’t bear to find him a new home…. It would break my heart.

XOXO

The top 10 things that piss me off:

1- People who don’ t have the guts to say something to someone’s face

2- People who cut you off while driving then slow down.

3- People who are only your friend to get things they want, then have no use for you.

4- People who can’t express what they want, then get mad because things didn’t go their way.

5- People who put their head in the sand and cannot face their problems.

6- Going to the cupboard for a Peanut butter sandwich to find the brand new unopened peanut butter is almost empty.

7- The inability to make a decision, be it where to eat for dinner or what car to buy.

8- The short hairs that won’t go into a ponytail.

9- Lack of respect for other people’s property.

10- Lack of respect for other people’s time.

Beyond ye top 10, I am well. I have a gimp arm. Some nerves are pinched which is preventing me from being very useful at all. Sticking right to plan on the WW front. Stressed about the cat and dog’s meetings. Hoping they get a little more friendly with one another.

I was looking up recipes tonight on a few websites, I found some wonderful foods for summer. I am hoping to have some BBQ’s to attend and make some of the wonderful recipes I found. As well I am looking to plan a 70th Bday party for my Nan. She turned 70 on June 12th. Mom is of course on the fence about the planning, I however think 70 years is something to celebrate. Now, just to come up with some ideas for the party…

XOXO

A friend of mine set me up with my own space out here in cyber land. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jessica.

_MG_6084

I love photography, theatre, a good book and will watch anything that’s been on a reel at least once. I do adore the classics, but am also a fan of new film. I have a cat, who has been there through the thick and thin of the past few years of my life. His name is Harry.

I fill my time with creative projects, and sometime I even play some World of Warcraft. Sometimes when I play my Gnome, I even have a cat, just like Harry.

But currently my main love is taking pictures of everything in sight. Eventually I’d like to do something with this hobby, but what that is yet I’m not quite sure. I plan on using this space for some of those photos. Eventually I will link what I call my Food Lovin’ Blog with has followed my weight loss trials with Weight Watchers. So hello world! Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure!
